Everything starts with a dream, for Maya Haines, it became a reality. A reality that came during a much needed time. This St.Paul woman has embarked on the entrepreneur journey that has opened her mind and spirit. Capturing the moment for people and companies to make their experiences last a lifetime, ShineOn Photobooth Co. is here to do so. We were able to question the entrepreneur on the rise from St.Paul Maya Haines about her future endeavors below:

Question #1 Who are you and where you from?

“My name is Maya Haines, I am 28 years old and I was born in Milwaukee, WI and raised in Saint Paul, MN.” Said by Maya Haines

Question #2 What do you do? And why?

“I am the owner and operator of ShineOn Photobooth Co. An open-air photobooth company that services all types of events from weddings, birthday parties, and corporate events. Our booth is naturally the life of any party, and truly brings guests together to capture genuine fun throughout any event we’re at.” Said by Maya Haines

Question #3 What inspired you to get started?

“I’ve always dreamed of working for myself and knew that if I worked hard and kept my head down my passions and natural talents would align. I wanted to find an avenue where I could explore entrepreneurship as well as do something that I enjoyed and could stand behind. I remember about 4 years ago thinking to myself what an awesome business idea it was, looking back I wasn’t in the headspace to bring this to life so it stayed a fleeting thought. Fast forward to the end of 2018 I really started the process or researching, finding a distributor and just bringing this project to life. It seemed unattainable and overwhelming at times but something inside of me just felt like I needed to be doing this. Of course, things ended up working out and here I am 3 months in and TRULY happy I stuck with it.” Said by Maya Haines

Question #4 What are some obstacles you had or have to face during your journey.

“My biggest obstacle was money initially – just thinking WOW, how am I going to get these funds upfront and actually bring an experience that I’m proud of to people? Once I committed to saving and being financially responsible so I could put myself in a position to move forward I realized that I was the only thing left standing in my way. Overthinking and doubting will be anyone’s biggest downfall. You truly have to have confidence and belief in yourself that if you put in the work and stay true to your self things will work out. Things practically fell into my lap to bring all of my ideas and plans into fruition when I finally believed “Hey girl. YOU CAN do this,” Said by Maya Haines

Question #5 How do you plan on having an impact in Twin Cities?

“Well first and foremost I just want to say I LOVE the Twin Cities, I am a traveler and have been many places – but it’s true what they say there’s no place like home. Not only do I want to be an inspiration to anyone who has issues with confidence and self-doubt, but I also want to find unique ways to partner with people in the cities who are making efforts to serve the communities and people who need it most.” Said by Maya Haines

Question #6 How can people follow or learn more?

“People can learn more, and find booking information on our website:
Shineonphotobooth.com, our Instagram @shineonphotobooth.com, facebook page Shine On Photobooth Co or email me directly at Maya@shineonphotobooth.com” Said by Maya Haines
